A former park ranger at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, KIMBERLY
LEWIS is an environmental planner in Las Vegas. Her canine companions are
Camy, a mutt, and Mollie, a border collie.
PAULA JACOBY-GARRETT is a research scientist at the University of Nevada, Las
Vegas. Her trail companions are CJ, a German shepherd, Princess, a poodle, and
Bailey, a Shetland sheepdog and new addition - Lily, a Bernese Mountain Dog.
Not only do Kimberly and Paula work in their jobs to help the environment, they also
do volunteer work in environmental education and lead hikes for the Red Rock
Interpretive Association.
For these two it's about more than writing a book, its about introducing people to
our wonderous area. With over two decades of combined experience in southern
Nevada, these gals know the area and unlike other authors, they live in the area
they write about!
